Package objects in diagram
« on: June 11, 2002, 08:49:55 am »
I have created a diagram showing how some of my packages relate to each other.  In a couple of the packages there are long names to objects contained(requirements).  Is there any way to get the text to shorten to some text followed by ... (my prefered solution), is there a way to get the text for each object to wrap to the next line (I can only shrink the package to the rightmost character), or can I turn off the display of what is contained in the package?

I appreciate any help I can receive.  The diagrams the way they are right now is not ideal for displaying this high level representation.

Hi,

The quickest solution is to open the Diagram Properties dialog and uncheck the box that says "Show Package Contents".

Im not sure about shortening names with "..." etc. I think once you truncate the names you are providing 'incorrect information' and this may not be desirable - better to show nothing at all. Im willing to listen to other arguments though.

I think that will work.  I didn't realize it was the diagram properties.  This will work for me I think.
