Red triangle marker above class
« on: July 02, 2002, 05:43:49 pm »
Can anyone tell me what a small, upside down, red triangle above a class diagram denotes?  I have a number of class objects in my logical diagram, and one of the objects has this red triangle symbol just above the object box.  Doesn't seem to be causing any problems, and I compared the class attributes to another class and I could not find any dissimilarities.  Just curious.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

THis was added some years ago when EA was a lot less featured than now.  Its only purpose was to provide a visual marker that may be of use in presentations, as a status flag or similar. THese are now referred to as bookmarks - and you turn them on for a selected element with the space bar.

There is also an option on the right click menu for a package in the tree called 'Bookmarks', using which you can set or clear bookmarks in a package based on some criteria. Again this is a more a reminder - highlighter feature than anything else.

Cheers,
