EA provides revision control through replication and controlled packages/XML per package.

Wouldn't XML export/import of the project root do the job for the whole model?

In other words: If I export am model's project root (normally called "Views"), and reimport it, will the project be exactly the same or would I be missing anything?

I suspect there is a reason why the docs speak about XML based versioning only on a package level?
