Spell Check greyed out in 3.5

I just installed EA 3.5 and I notice that Edit->Spell check is greyed out.  Is there a legitimate reason for that to happen?

Never mind - I figured this out myself.  I had enabled security and had not quit and logged in as a user permitted to do spell checks.
