Screen design - where to insert?
« on: October 30, 2002, 12:28:55 pm »
Hi,

Does anyone know how to insert information about the GUI of the application that is being modelled with EA? I mean, input fields, validation issues, look, actions triggered...

Any help would be appreciated... thanks in advance.

In the native base model there is a package called custom.
Under there is a subpackage called user interface - you can put the GUI elements in there.

Alternatively you can put GUI items on any diagram at any point - although it is better to use a custom diagram as it will then default the outlook bar to the correct icons for screen and UI controls. Once they are in there you can treat them like just about any other object in EA and put all the relevant information you need - cross-link them etc.

Hope this helps.
