Links within EA
« on: September 23, 2002, 04:34:58 pm »
Does anyone know if there is a way to create a link between two different folders or two different anything. Ultimately when using the HTML out documentation it would be great to define the ability to point from one thing to another within the tool.

I know you can point to any URL by using the "HyperLink Details". But it won't point at anything within the EA environment. At least I couldn't find it.

If anyone knows how to do this or if there are plans to implement, that would be great to know as well.

Thanks

Dennis

I remember Geoff Sparks saying in another discussion, that he was looking into adding this feature. I have not heard anything about it since. It is certainly something that would be useful to me too.

I also would like this feature. It seems to be there but I can't figure out how to use it. I want to link from case in a UC digram to the analysis diagram which details the case. On the home page of the example there all sorts of internal hyperlinks to other diagram but when I check the properties they just say text and nothing about the link.  This is an import point for me because it makes requirements traceable from Use case to implentation practical and that is how I am selling the Managers to use EA.
