Importing from Rose
« on: December 05, 2002, 02:13:41 am »
Hi All,

I am evaluating the corporate edition of EA and I need to import our current Rose model into a EA project stored in a SQL Server 2000 database.  I ran the script to create the database and it worked fine.  I can add, edit etc. everything from within the EA environment.

I export the Rose model using the Unisys plug in. When I try and do the import I get the following error "Microsoft OLE DB provider for SQL Server [-2147217900] Incorrect syntax near the keyword "User".

Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks,
Stephen

Ok I dropped the database, created a new one and ran the script again.  Then I created a new EA project, transferred the empty project to the SQL server database and ran the import again.

This time it got a lot further through the import but then crashed with the following error:

"Microsoft cursor engine [-2147467259] Data provider or other service returned an E_FAIL status"

Any ideas?
