Import & Export XML

I am getting very frustrated with the import / export facility in EA.  I export a small simple use case view package to an xml file and then I open a new file and try to import the same xml file.  EA gives me a message saying "Error  Code=0xc00ce014  Source = Line 76; char = 31   Error description = Element content is invalid according to the DTD/Schema.  Expecting #PCDATA,XMI.reference".

This combined with the fact that it does not automatically convert collaboration diagrams to sequence diagrams, or keep the links between objects when placed on a new diagram makes this a completely useless product.

I thought that I had found the 'holy grail' - only to find that EA does not live up to its promises.

If anyone can provide a remedy for these problems I would be most grateful.

Can't help you out, as I'm still a newbie.  I can assure you, though, that there are enough experienced EA fans (fanatics?) that can lend a hand and take exception to your "useless product" evaluation.

You may be able to solve your problems yourself by doing a search of the forum.

I don't think there's any Holy Grail case tool out there, but I do think EA is as close as any product could get.
