Copying Messages between sequence diagrams
« on: February 24, 2003, 06:11:34 am »
Hi,
I am trying to find the best way to copy sections from a large sequence diagram to create a series of smaller ones. When I try copy / paste, the objects get copied but not the messages between them. When I export to XML and try to re-import into another package name to delete the bits I din't need I get "Package already exists...". I can clear this by checking "remove GUID" from the import box, but this looses the identity of the objects.

Does anyone have a workaround?

Thanks

Tjerk

Hi Lenin,

Is your sequence diagram really that large? If you already have your methods defined for your classes or components, then it shouldn't be so much work to redraw a part of a sequence diagram, I guess. The messagenames can then be selected from a list, including its parameters.

Sorry I don't have any solution.

Greetings and good luck,
Tjerk
