Beginner to uml with web applications

Hi,

I know the basics of UML, however I have never created UML diagrams with web based projects. Also, I have never had to reflect any UML diagrams to actually programming objects, functions, etc. I need a little help, plz! Plus I have never done reverse engineering. So can anyone help me on how to go about doing this. My project is in JSP and I need to reverse engineer it, for example, to a sequence diagram. so I need help on how to do this or even where i can get this sort of information.
