Java package support/MDA
« on: July 11, 2003, 07:46:10 am »
Is there any idea of when Java package/directory structures will be supported within EA? I am leading a bunch of developers who would really like to know <g>?

Second question - are the Design by Contract constructs (invariant, pre and post conditions) able to be more visibly constructed - using OCL perhaps?

Thanks in advance,

Chana

Lack of Response

You know, I am becoming very disappointed with the lack of attention to Java questions and requests that are put out here on the board. I have asked questions on package generation, MDA and other such topics and it seems that when it comes to Java, things just have a way of not getting answered. I can understand that perhaps the Sparx guys aren't familiar with or crazy about Java even...but, a lot of us are going out on limbs in the Java world to promote EA - it would be nice to see simple questions answered. I can live with a date in the future - but it would be nice to have the date!

I see that other people have asked the same questions about generating Java packages. This is a CRITICAL need - not a fanciful whimsical request!!!! Our use of EA is being severely hampered by this lack of support...Does ANYONE have ANY idea about when this will be supported???

Thanks in advance (I hope),

Chana
