Use of xml/html open/close tags in documentation

Hi,

I've embedded some sample xml into some of my diagrams.  The problem I found was that when I generate HTML documentation, all of this information is displayed as blank since the web browser thinks they are HTML tags.

I suppose I can mitigate this by using < and >, but that is a pain since it is harder to read outside the web documentation.  

Has anyone encountered this issue and come to an easy resolution?
