Feature for spacing diagram items
« on: August 02, 2003, 01:45:17 pm »
There are tools for aligning and sizing items in EA diagrams, but I can't find one to help space out a column or row if items.

Ideally, a selection of items could be spaced out equally between the first and last items creating a neat column or row. This would be used where the auto layout features aren't suitable.

Hi John

This is called "Space Evenly" and it is located in the right-click context menu that you get when you have selected multiple elements. Hold down CTRL to select multiple items. You can choose to space elements horizontally or vertically, as appropriate.

Thanks Mikkel.

I hadn't been using the "multiple selection" element context menu. It seems a bit strange that the same function isn't available from the "diagram" main menu near the "Align" items.
