Assigning Generalization to entity objects
« on: December 04, 2003, 03:21:59 am »
Hi,

I am relatively new to EA and i'm a trying to link two entity objects on an Analysis diagram using a generalization and get the following error message "The requested connection is not UML compliant".

I can get this to work if i create a class, change it stereotype to entity but to me it seems a long winded way to do this.  I have also noticed that there are generalizations in the EA example between entity objects so there must be a way of doing this.

Any help would be appreciated.

G'day g'day,

Under the "Tools" menu, under "Options", and under "Diagram" in the options dialog, uncheck the "Strict UML Syntax" option.

Cheers and best regards.
