Creating a start-up diagram

The example diagram has a nifty model guide to help newbies navigate to the different models in the file.  It is automatically selected when the project is opened.  Does anyone know how I can set the initial diagram in a new project?

Go to menu "Diagram", there are two options, "Set as model default" and "Set as user default".
