Excessive conflicts w/Access 2000?
« on: January 22, 2004, 08:56:57 am »
We are currently using EA 3.60.653 at two sites.  One site is using Access 2002, and the other is using Access 2000. During the synchronization process for the replicas, there are over 1000 conflicts to resolve.  This is occurring at the site using Access 2000.

Does anyone know if this is related to the version mismatch of Access between the two sites?  Thanks!

We currently use EA 3.6 build 659 with Access 2000 (version 9.0.6926 SP-3) and do not experience any problems with this database. We also use it with SQL Server 2000 and again have no problems.

Have you looked into the Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) version that you have installed. EA requires version 2.6 or 2.7? You can download 2.7 SP-1 from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=9ad000f2-cae7-493d-b0f3-ae36c570ade8&languageid=f49e8428-7071-4979-8a67-3cffcb0c2524&displaylang=en

You could also try exporting the model as XMI and importing at the other site.

Cheers
