New User Help Needed!

I have been given EA to use in Use Case modelling but am getting confused about the re-usability of Actors etc.

I created a Level 0 diagram, created some actors and added Notes (descriptions etc.)

I then created Level 1 and dragged the actors from the side bar onto the new diagram..

1. The notes are not there behing the 'new 'actors'
2. I have created new objects

Is this NOT the way to do this..where can I find the proper method!

Hi,

when dragging the actors onto the diagram, you have probably created new instances of the actors.
Go to menu Tools > Options > Diagram > Behaviour and UNCHECK the option "Auto Instance". Now remove the actors from your diagram and drag them on the diagram again.
