How to Reverse Engineering java

Hi;
I have the java source code, i was told to reverse do reverse engineering and play around with this tool and see if it is good,
Can you any body please tell the steps to follow to do reverse engineer java source code. and also the types of diagrams that i can generate and how?
Please help As soon as possible
