Working with big models
« on: October 06, 2004, 10:19:22 am »
I have a fairly large class model that does not fit well on a single page.  When I generate the documents (either RTF or HTML) I get one big diagram that has print too small to read.

I would like to take logical sections of my model and create different views of it.  Then, my documentation will show these views according to the domain they belong.  But I also want to keep the one model so I can see how these views connect.

Is there a way to do what I want?  I am open to suggestions or another way of doing things.  I would love to simply set a property in each class, and then only show classes with a property of a set value, and do this all with different views.  But I don't know if that is the right way to even think about this problem.

Hi Michael,
there have been discussions about that topic. Maybe you can do a search for "print".

You can define the page size for each diagram separately. Choose a big one for your mamoth and distribute your elements across so you don't have to glue too much of them.
