Suggest & Request forum Vs. 'Request Feature'
« on: November 02, 2004, 06:19:55 am »
What is the expected usage of the Feature Request part of the BB, compared with the main site Request a Feature form?

With the form, you do seem to get some feedback, whereas posting to the BB, if no reply is posted you don't know whether anything has registered - or not.

The difference is simple: posting to this board will definitely show the worth of a suggestion by the number of replies. Posting to Sparx only gives you feedback from Sparx but no support by other users.

As far as requests go, we read the Forum and we read the posts to "Request a Feature" and some we implement, some we don't. However, even when we don't implement your ideas, it does give us an insight into the general direction that people want EA to go in, and that's important, so keep the ideas coming!

Where e-mail is better than the forum is in the case of bugs. By all means post to the forum and ask "this keeps happening - is it a bug?" but if the answer is "yes" or "probably" then drop us an e-mail to guarantee we know about the problem and then we can get it fixed.

Cheers,

Neil
