Stereotyped classes creates objects on diagrams
« on: November 06, 2004, 05:07:08 pm »
Hi,

Maybe this is a setting's problem.

If I add a stereotyped class to the diagram from the browser, on creates an object on the diagram and in the browser instead.

How can I add only the class to the diagram?

Thanks

Gabor

Hi,

if I understand this right, you are dragging an existing class from the Project Browser onto the diagram. When you do this, a window should come up whether you want to place the class (or any other element for that matter) onto the diagram as a link, child element or a new object instance (which is likely what is happening).
If the window with a question is not showing up, you may have selected the option to always use the same choice when it appeared the first time. In that case when you drag the class from Project Browser onto the diagram, hold Ctrl key, that will enforce the question to show up. Select "Simple Link" option then.

Hope this helps!

Bruno
