Navigating "up" to composite?
« on: January 03, 2005, 01:51:38 am »
Hi there,

assuming we have the following:

  • a (parent) diagram containing a composite object
  • the composite object is in turn described in a child diagram
  • the child diagram can be opened by double-clicking the composite object in the parent diagram

All good. Is it now possible to navigate back up to the parent diagram through some kind of menu or keyboard short-cut? The back button does not work since the parent diagram is not part of the tabs anymore.

Of course, we always can add an extra link to the child diagram, but...

Am I missing something?

Thanks to all,
Mike

[parent -> child] equals [element -> diagram]
[child -> parent] equal [diagram -> element]
The only way to navigate this way would be via a context menu entry. Or the tab down in the window list. Or (as you said) via some kind of link.
