set a sub-state to an object
« on: January 07, 2005, 09:09:46 am »
Hi,

I can define states for a class by sliding my states below the class icon in the project view. I defined states inside the first level states.

When I create an object of this class on a diagram, by a right click I have the opportunity to modify the object state but only for the first level states. I cannot select my second level state.

If someone can help me...

May be there is a clue: on diagram, my states representation does not have a line below the state name like in the help example. It is very similar to an activity. Is it normal?

Regards

Joseki

I cannot select my second level state.

I can't either: It looks like it's top level states only. I think all you can do for now is attach a comment, constraint or tagged value denoting what your second level state is.

There is a switch: go to Tools | Options | Objects and tick the checkbox "Show State Compartments".
