Package Disappears in Project View - (Oracle)??

We have a situation in a 3.6 Oracle-based project where if you click on a sub-folder in one area of the Project View, the packages disappears from view, and the Project view tree collapses to the top level packages.  Has anyone had this problem?  I would greatly appreciate some help on this one.  We are using an Oracle 9i database.
