Show links in Project View?
« on: April 06, 2005, 11:40:21 am »
Good afternoon,

When I paste an element from one diagram into another, the element shows on the diagram but there is no indication in the project view that there is a linked element on the diagram.  We REALLY need to be able to see things that are linked.

Is this possible?  I have checked every option I can think of and have come up empty.

You might ask, why?

Consider that you have a data object that can be used in multiple packages.  Granted, it would show on the diagram itself but someone looking at the elements listed under the diagram would not see the data object as being part of the diagram because the link does not show any kind of entry in the target package.

Make sense?

Thanks,

Richard

Hello Richard.

Currently it's no way to show links to Project Tree.
If you want to know where are the links, please press
Ctrl+U. (or select 'Usage' from Context menu)

I think it's natural and reasonable not to show links in
Project Tree, because I think Project Tree is 'Model'
and diagrams are 'View'. Each links in diagram are
instances of Model element and it's not actual entity.
