Delete a project node
« on: April 12, 2005, 05:03:25 pm »
I am using the professional addition of EA.  I have created numerous project nodes in my project view.  Now if I right click on a package within a view, there is a delete option.  However, i do not see a delete option when I right click on a project node.  Can someone tell me how to delete a top level project node?

Thank you!

Shawn

Hi Shawn,

You may be attempting to delete the project root node named "Views", which has been dissallowed as it is an internal requirement of EA.

You may however delete root nodes that you have created:  simply right click the root node and select Delete Project Root.

HTH :)

Just pondering (whilst stroking chin)... the project root node named "Views" may have been renamed to something else.

The only way to distinguish the original, and undeletable "Views" root node, probably, is the absence of the delete menu item.

Yes that's correct.  I see that now.  Very interesting.  I guess I have to try and use that for something in the future.  I had already created other nodes and named them and realized that one wasn't necessary.  So I'll have to use that one for whatever project root node I decide to implement next.

Thanks for the help!
