Problem Printing on HP Laserjet 6P

Hi

I'm having a problem printing to a HP Laserjet 6P. Are there any known issues?

If I print a simple 1 page diagrams (I've just tried a statechart but class diagrams behave the same way) I end up with :

* A couple of blank pages (some junk in one corner)
* A page containing the Unregistered Version background
* A page containing my states, overlapping the edge of the page the states are not in the correct releative positions and none of the transitions are shown.

If I send the same diagram to a different printer I get a single page print out as expected.

I havnt had problems printing from any other apps to this printer, nor have the 20 or so other people who share it.  If I export my diagram to a word document first then the print out works fine.  The print preview also looks ok for this printer.

Anybody got any ideas?

No idea, except that it sounds like a printer driver problem. As you said: no problems with other printer

But also no problems with anything else printing to that printer.

I'm hoping that there might be an advanced feature in my print driver somewhere that EA needs turning on (or off).  You used to get an option in print drivers to generate postscript for either compatability or speed but I cannot find this setting anywhere either.

As a work around. You could install a PDF printer (freeware) and then print the PDF.

Thanks, Good Idea! Or use the other printer.

The problem is, I'm trying to pursade a company I am providing consultancy to to buy this for their development team. So far they are impressed (as are all the companies I show this to   ) but if they have trouble printing from it to the local printer they probabily won't want to buy it.
