Stereotype management dialog needs extensive rewor
« on: May 05, 2005, 02:26:01 am »
Copy of a bug report I submitted a few minutes ago...
---------------------------------------------------------------
The stereotype management dialog (Configuration|UML|Stereotypes) needs extensive rework.
  • The stereotype list at the bottom doesn't seem to be sorted in a consistent manner (especially after changes)
  • Since it's a listing of stereotypes, then the stereotype column should be left most.
  • You should be able to filter the list by base class
  • "Applies to" and "Base Class" should have the same name (one or the other or a third, but the same!)
  • When you "Save" a stereotype, the saved values should remain visible, and the save button disabled
  • A copy button would be nice, that would blank out the name, but leave the rest as is.

That's probably enough to be getting on with...

---------------------------------------------------------------
Inconsistently correct systems DON'T EXIST!
... Therefore, aim for consistency; in the expectation of achieving correctness....

I agree, specially with the sorting part, i still can't figure out the logic behind it...
