Version 5 problem
« on: May 18, 2005, 04:15:17 am »
Hi All,

Just downloaded and installed version 5 and encountered a possible problem.

I did a "Find Orphans" and got nothing in the Search Results list.  However, my title bar states "Find Object - Found 20 items*"

How can this be, and what is the significance of the *?

Any ideas?

cheers

Tried it here. I have "117 items*" but the list is definitely shorter. So something does seem to be wrong.

Glad to here it's not just me then!

I would be seriously worried if I had 117 unidentified orphans though.

I've now raised a bug report with Sparx to see if they have any comments.

Hi All,

I've just had this reply from Aaron @ Sparx

Paul,

Thanks for your bug report.  Have located the problem and fixed it.

When the search is made for orphans, it also includes Packages, even though packages do not get rendered to the list box. Have just fixed the way it counts the results so that it doesn't include the packages.

Should be fixed in the next release of EA.
Until then, the list box appears to be displaying the correct results, just the result count given is inaccurate.

Regards,
Aaron Bell
