Hiding target roles from associations
« on: May 19, 2005, 11:33:44 am »
When I create an association with a foreign key, the source and target roles appear, e.g. FK_THIS and PK_THAT.

However, I would like to hide these roles so that only the line, link name and multiplicities remain visible.

Is this possible? I tried looking in the diagram properties dialogue but only see one checkbox called 'Hide relationships' but this option hides everything.

Any ideas?

Hello,
select the link and use "Set Visibility" -> "Set Label Visibility" in the context menue and disable "Source top node" and "Target top node". This must be done for all links in the diagram. I have not found a way to do it  for all links in the diagram at once.

Yes, I already knew that.

However it would be much better to be able to make this change in one go, e.g. using some global setting.

If this is not available, perhaps this could be done as a (not-so-distant) future improvement?

Make a formal suggestion...  Informal requests like this aren't always acknowledged...  Sparxians are busy people fixing the defects I report... ;D
