Problems with using Classes for DataDictionaries
« on: June 01, 2005, 11:04:41 am »
Hello All,

I have been recording data dictionary information as follows:

Class - Data dictionary (User)
Attribute - Data Element (User Name)
Constraint  - Properties/Business Rules of Data Elements (no spaces, etc)

Anyway these classes are getting huge, with over 100 attributes each with their set of constraints. Maintaining this is getting tedious and it's staring to look like excel is better.

Does anyone have a different approach to recording a data dictionary, or even processes that would make entry any easier (via automation perhaps?)

Thanks,

Michael
