add action to activity

Hi,
In activity diagram, how do I grab a set of related actions and add by dragging to an activity?

Seems I have to create each new action and plonk it on the activity.

For now I do this as a sub-activity, but in this case I would prefer to see the "sub-activity" on the main activity diagram.
