Problem with CVS and relationship matrix

When using version control in CVS and doing check in - check out of elements appearing in a relationship matrix, the matrix suddenly looses its definition.

Although saved in a profile, when the profile is recovered it looses the object type or the package defined as source or target.

Has anybody had this problem?
