How to create link on large diagrams

  I have a model with a few diagrams that contain large numbers of elements. The intent is to plot it on A0 occasionally. How do I create a (any) link between 2 elements if they are so far apart that they are not simultaneously visible on my edit window?
Yes, I did RTFM and am aware that I can zoom out but when I go too far, the labels become unreadable.
I guess that what I would like is to see a part of the diagram at normal magnification and see the window autoscroll when i drag the connector outside of the window border.

method 1) use the project tree context menu  - "Create Link..." item.  i.e. select the source element in the diagram, ctrl-G, right click on the item in the project tree ...

method 2) select both elements, using click and ctl-click, copy them into a temporary diagram and create the link.  When you delete the temp diagram the link still exists.

The second may sound a bit more complex but after a while it becomes natural and allows some more control.

If you really need control over the whole picture I'd suggest to buy an A0-screen (or at least A1).

You could put in a request for nxX-inch ultra-high quality LCD screens and the appropriate high quality video cards instead...
