Version Control - SCC - Change User

I'm using build 766 with VSS for version control.

When creating a new Version Control Configuration, I'm prompted for the VSS directories, but not the user of the VSS database.

If I click on the "Change User" button, it changes the current user to "User Name". Nothing else.

So my first question is:
How do I change the user?

Note: I think it does prompt me for username if I actually "use" the configuration on a package. However, I do not see why I have to try to "use" it in order to input the correct details!

The only way to select the SourceSafe directory is to click on the Save button. However, only one "branch" is displayed (seems to be the one I had used previously).

So my second question is:
How do I change the place the XML files will be stored to another "branch" in SourceSafe? In other words, I want to go up higher than the "$" and select something else at the same level as "$".

I've previously spent so much time repeating the same things in those version control dialogs to find the right "sequence". After not using EA for a mere two months, I have forgotten the proper sequence. Looks like this time I will have to do some documentation, since the Help files are clearly wrong anyway.
