EA - Version Control (Subversion)
« on: May 20, 2005, 01:05:26 am »
Hy !

See there is a support for SCC, CVS to use version Control on Modeling project in Enterprise Architect.
What about Subversion support ? Don't see anymore in EA 5.0 ?

Is it plan ? Next EA Version Control features ?

I'd also like to toss my support behind having subversion support added to EA.  A large number of projects are moving away from cvs to svn and it would be extremely useful to have support for it as its use grows.

"toss[ing] your support" being a slightly more noncommittal way of throwing your support behind something, presumably :-)

I will also toss, throw, hurl, foist, etc. my support behind EA subversion integration.  SVN seems to be gaining ground as the next-gen CVS.  I have been using it both for work and home for about 2 years now; it's a great tool.  Given the similarities between CVS and SVN, I would surmise that the integration would not be a herculean effort.

Here's my vote as well  :-)  From all I'm told by the developers I work with and many more that I know svn is taking over from cvs as the application of choice for version control.
