Oracle Columns all varchar 255
« on: June 12, 2005, 08:02:00 pm »
When importing from an Oracle database all the column definitions are set to varchar instead of their correct definition.
I am using Oracle 9.2 with the Oracle 817 ODBC Driver.
Has anyone else experienced this problem or have any suggestions for its remedy?

Thanks

Hi,

I had the same problem today connecting with an oracle
client 8 ODBC driver to an oracle server 9i.

By replacing the local oracle client 8 by the oracle client
9i the problem was resolved.

Hope this can help you,
