Merge of separate modifications?
« on: October 18, 2005, 09:04:30 am »
Hi,

does EA provide a way to merge changes to a class that have been made in different models, i.e. after firstly having copied the original model and then having modified class "A" in both models, I'd like to merge the changes made to the class in the original model, into the copy.

Is EA capable of doing this?

Thanks very much!

Hi,

look for "Replication" in the User Guide

If I understood it right, this works correctly only if separate packages are to be merged. Merging two models containing the same (but modified) elements, results in a random loss of one of the packages' modifications.

Additionally, after the replication synchronization, both models contain identical information which is also not what I want.
