Changing the options in the scope list
« on: November 24, 2005, 04:22:13 am »
Is it possible to define my own list of scope options (possibly for different element types) and maybe having it as a free field.
For example - I am trying to write Use-Cases as per Alistair Cockburn's examples in "Writing Effective Use Cases" and would like to use the Scope field for describing more.

You can't apply Cockburns style 1:1 with EA. You have to either use associated files or you have to sqeeze it into the notes field.

I wonder what you mean by

scope options (possibly for different element types)
Could you explain that?

I meant in the same way that the status types have an 'applies to' box - one could set up the scope options for Use Cases to be different to classes etc.

Officially not - but you can try adding values in the table t_statustypes ;)

Not enough coffee for this morning - sorry :-[ I'll have a 2nd look
Edit: No chance. The values are hard coded in EA.EXE
