Copy attributes or operations between classes
« on: December 01, 2005, 03:36:59 pm »
How can I copy an attribute or operation of a class to another class?

After I highlight an attribute or operation from a class and select Copy from Edit, I can only paste it as a link. Paste as new is grayed-out.

Please let me know how to do it if EA supports this. Otherwise, please add this useful feature.

Thanks.

You can drag attributes/operations from the tree to a class on a diagram to copy them.

It seems to me that it is a "move", not a "copy", if I drag an attribute/operation from a class and drop it to another class. That attribute/operation will disappear from the first class.

It will if you drag from a class in the tree to another in the tree.

If you drag from a class in the tree to a class in a diagram, it will copy.

Yes, it works now as you mentioned.
Sorry I did not read your previous post carefully.
