export import diagram

hello
i have package diagram in one file
someone has the same package diagram in another file
the other person changed the diagram of packages how i can update my package diagram should i use import /export
i dont want to take the all project since i have done thing ahead also we have not connected to source control yet !!http://

Export/Import the package using XMI. Make a backup of your model prior to importing the package.
