Interaction Occurence doesn't show as ref frame
« on: January 07, 2006, 05:26:03 am »
Help

I'd like to draw a ref frame on a sequence diagram to connnect a message to a diagram gate as shown in the ea help.  When I draw a diagram as Reference to the sd it is shown with the prefix "sd" and not with the key word "ref". The name of the diagram is shown in the upper left corner behind the prefix instead of in the middle of the interaction occurrence. And last but not least the diagram reference frame get's the same hights as the lifelines in the sd.

I guess I was able to draw ref frames to sd's on previous versions of EA. Is there an option I'm ignoring ??

Thank's for any hint!

Cheers, Christoph

Hello Christoph,

You can generate Interacton Occurence, drag target
Sequence diagram from ProjectTree and drop to
current Sequence diagram.

Please take care if you drop to diagram except Sequence
diagram, you can't make 'ref' frame.

Hi t-kouno

thanks for your proposal but I think I've already tried to do so. What I wanted to model corresponds exactly to what is shown in the ea help (http://www.sparxsystems.com.au/EAUserGuide/index.html?diagramgate.htm ).
But unfortunately the diagram reference (inteaction occurrence in uml) doesn't show as a diagram frame with the ''ref' keyword but with the 'sd' prefix.

Chris
