Instantly Seeing Impacts of Changing Requirements
« on: January 09, 2006, 03:48:39 pm »
Hi,

Could someone explain me how EA helps to "instantly see the impact of changing requirements on the design, implementation, test and deployments models" as stated in the home page of SparxSystems.

I think this may be done using "realise" relationships between models and some "traceability matrix" between them ; but a complete example about "how to instantly seeing the impact of changing requirements on these elements" would be very helpful

Regards,

Birol

Do you know Instant Water? If you ever need fresh water, stir a bit of Instant Water in a glas of water, voila! If accidentially you don't have a glas of water: use Instant Water.

EA's sense of Instantly is a bit alike. As you said the traceability is based on the Relationship Matrix which does a fine job.

You also have to note that EA is no Fully Fleshed Requirements Management Tool as you would need it for large projects. However, it's fine for small projects and you can have a separate tool RaQuest for medium projects.
