XMI import not available

While XMI import works fine as long as I store my models in .EAP files, it is not even available when the model is stored in a database (we use PostgreSQL with the new EA 6.1).
We have transferred a legacy project to the database, and in the model I select "Dynamic View"; I want to apply the procedure described in "Copy Packages from One Project to Another" in the online doc. The context menu shows the "Import/Export" submenu, but the item "Import package from XMI file..." is grayed out. (And yes, I have not forgotten to lock Dynamic View and its diagrams and elements.)
Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?
