Version control
« on: February 16, 2006, 11:21:55 pm »
I’m using EA (Professional Edition, version 6.0) and Visual Source Safe (6.0) for version control.
When a new package is defined in EA, I first create a new defined configuration for version control (right-click on the package, package control, version control options, new …). I specify a workspace path and an SCC path. I then assign the package to that defined configuration (right-click on the package, package control, configure & finally select the required version control .So far so good.

The problem however is changing this defined configuration. I can’t change the SCC path of an existing defined configuration. I would like to do this to point to an archived SCC folder when a project release has been completed.
In addition, it seems I can’t link the package to a new defined configuration. It allows me to (no warnings or error messages), but in the background it’s still linked to the previous configuration.

I might be missing something out cause I’m not an EA expert, but if this sounds familiar to someone, help is welcome.

Tried again with version 6.1 and has been resolved.  :)
