Mimetype for *.eap files
« on: March 02, 2006, 09:51:29 am »
Hi,

we are using a web based document management system to document our projects and would like to add the created .eap files for archiving.

To make things more convenient for users we would like to associate the .eap files with the correct mimetype so that EA opens the file that the user clicked on. I did a search on filext.com but couldn't find Enterprise Architect...

Any suggestions what mimetype to use?

And yes, I know we could use a repository but that's not an option at the moment ;-)

Regards, Rob

I know, but it's not really convenient to work on diagrams in Access...

When I dbl-click an eap-file, EA opens as expected. What do you need to change then?

Of course it opens with EA if you have your files locally or on a network drive but as I said in my first post, we're putting them into a webbased system, so I want the same behaviour clickling on a link.

We use OpenText Livelink and I already found out how to do it, so if anybody is using Livelink and is interested in how to do it, I can provide a solution...
