Limit Operation and Attribute Visibility
« on: March 06, 2006, 05:49:10 am »
I need to provide a class diagram at a very high level.

I do not need to see all available attributes and operations, just a select few.

I know I can choose to show or not, all the attributes and operations in a class.  Is there a way to selectively show specific operations and attributes?

You could set the visibility of those attributes, etc. that you don't want to show to something more restrictive than the rest, then adjust what will be shown on a diagram.

Of course, this only works if you have not yet reached the point where you are assigning the 'real' visibilities. Still, if the "very high level" diagrams are for brainstorming or early presentation purposes this may be sufficient for your purposes.
No, you can't have it!

You can selctively show features via the [Ctrl+Shift+Y] Set Feature Visibility.  By assigning special stereotypes to the features you can tell the diagram to hide certain stereotypes.
