Pre bug submission check

 >:( In 789 the project tree window doesn't seem to auto-go-away any more, which makes the "locate in current diagram" function fairly useless on a complex diagram.

Have I (or the installer) jigged an option setting somewhere? Or is it a bug?

bruce

Its even worse!  The tagged value tab now goes away automaticallty - even if its pinned.

I don't seem to be getting that behaviour Bruce. Perhaps I don't quite catch your meaning.

Could you please elaborate?

I do notice that the project view 'sticks' if I unpin it and locate an element. I have to click on the diagram to give it focus, or more to the point to force the Project View to lose focus, to force the Project View to dissappear.

I don't have any problem with the Tagged Values panel, but my configuration for this likely differs from yours. It does not seem to be acting up whether I pin it or not.

No, you can't have it!

Thats the exact problem.  I'm sure this didn't happen before?

As regards the tag window. I make it shown and pinned.  Select an element and add a tag. Even though the tag window is pinned it then folds. ???

Hi Bruce,

I have been using EA on a wide screen for some time, in a project where I continuously need to use the Project View tree. Thus I have not unpinned the window for some time. When I think about it the functionality you desire (that seems to have disappeared) is what I would like to see, and I do concur that's what it always was.

Worth submitting a bug report to Sparx. With luck they've just left the focus on the tree, and can pop it back to the diagram for the next release...

Now to the Tagged Values window. I tried your experiement and my Tagged Values window stayed open. In my configuration I have it docked with some other windows (Notes, Properties etc.). The collection containing the TV window is underneath the Project and Resource Views, which are themselves docked together. (When I say below, the two collections are both on the right side of the EA desktop, with the Views above the utility panels.)

What configuration are you using for the TV window? I have submitted a couple of bug reports regarding the TV window over the past two weeks, one fairly benign and the other causing EA to crash hard. Sparx is actively working on the latter.

Please let me know more about how you have things set up. I'll try to duplicate the problem. If I can, we be able to get some actionable information into Sparx' hands.
