MDA Overview and EA6
« on: April 11, 2006, 12:11:43 am »
Hi,

I am reading Geoffrey Sparks "MDA Overview".

I am new to MDA and template editor.

As the document describe EA5, I would like to know what a newbie should watch out for when practicing with EA6 while basing it on the above document.

Will there be an update if necessary?

Cheers

Eve

EA 6 support of MDA is essentially the same as for EA 5.  Some of the differences are:
  • There are three more built-in transformations (JUnit, NUnit and WSDL)
  • Added features to run multiple transformations at a time, chain transformations (perform transformations automatically on the result of a transform) and automatically generate code on the result.
  • The transformation dialog looks a bit different to reflect those features.
I don't think there should be problems using that document with EA6, but if you find some let us know.
