Remove border around swimlane in print preview
« on: April 11, 2006, 11:03:25 pm »
If the processes within the horizontal swimlanes does not fill up entire page, EA will print a border around the swimlanes right at top left corner of the printout.

Can EA be configured such that the swimlanes printouts stretch to the edges of the paper?

Thanks.

No idea,

EA can be fairly stubborn about how it handles diagram exports, particularly with the clipboard. Check the Tools / Options / Diagrams dialog, and experiment with the diagram frames settings on the lower right.

If you don't get anywhere, try this - just to see if it fixes you up (this is a guess, so use a backup copy of your project).

You can assign swimlanes to a boundary element as well as an entire diagram. Try doing this and see what you get when you print the page. If it is behaves differently than before, perhaps setting the border of the boundary (the boundary boundary ;) ) to dotted or dashed. Unfortunately there is no way to turn the border off entirely... Still you might get something you can live with, or at least something predictable.
No, you can't have it!
